Where does Nino’s Java come from?

Nino’s Java wood is selected from unproductive coffee tree plantations. The other materials are selected natural materials

Is every piece of Ninos Java individual?

Yes. Every single piece is unique – as “Designed by Nature” with minimal hand crafting.

How is Nino’s Java produced?

Skilled craftsmen fashion the products mostly by hand. Waste is minimised by respecting and working with what nature delivers in terms of shape, size colour, texture etc. Hence the individuality and uniqueness of each and every piece.

Is variation in natural products normal?

Yes – of course. In fact it’s the individuality and uniqueness inherent in natural products that we treasure. We encourage creative responses to the natural materials . Eg; use the natural features to encourage natural behavior like exploring, feeding and foraging techniques.

How tough is Java Wood?

Java Wood is extremely tough. Nino our Macaw who loved to test things out, could not do much more than produce scratches in the Java Wood even after a year of his sabotage! Our two chocolate labradors Jack and Jill are still working away daily after two years.

Can I customise my Nino’s Java?

Yes, of course you can. We understand that every piece and every user is an individual. We encourage owners to express their creative passions and respond to the unique personality of their pet. After all, it is creative thinking that improves our environment. We have heard of customers trimming, cutting, drilling, shaping and reorganising for various reasons, such as look, space requirements, feeding, foraging, gripping, exercise or hanging and fixing other elements – or just for the fun of it! Nino’s Java presents an opportunity to take your environment to the next level in a natural way. Having said all that, if you do want to customise, then you should consider this carefully, as many customisations can be permanent and as such not reversible. Go for it!

Where can you buy Nino’s Java?

You can buy Nino’s Java at the selected retailers listed on our website Store Locator, (located on the Home page under Contact Us) or at this online store. If you really want to see and touch before you buy, either go to one of our selected retailers, or Contact Us to arrange a visit to our Warehouse in Brisbane.

If I buy from your online store where do you ship to?

Nino’s Java will attempt to ship anywhere, including international. You can also collect from our Brisbane Warehouse. We do not have click and collect on our website (yet) so just contact us with any questions.

How is Nino’s Java cleaned and maintained?

In an effort to stay close to nature, we recommend that Nino’s Java only needs a regular wipe with a clean cloth that is dampened with water. We discourage the use of chemicals. Sometimes vinegar diluted in water can be of assistance. Always test a small patch first. Note – excessive exposure or soaking of water on timber can create tannin stains. If in any doubt of what products are safe for your pet we recommend you seek advice from a professional such as a vet.
